YAY I'm home from INDIA!!!  Check out My Blog!

My love for doing massage therapy was passed down through my Swedish ancestry. I am still wondering where Buddhism sprung from…though I imagine I've spent several past lives (in addition to several stints of my present life) in Asia. Meditation, yoga and reiki have found their place in my daily practices. I am intrigued by astrology and look for alternative
methods of promoting peace such as meditation, and
consciously creating a culture of peace.  

I am decidedly a student of peace and transformation and truly believe that everyone would be happier and live longer if we ate small amounts of chocolate on a regular basis!

Personally, I strive to be happy, peaceful and playful for the highest good. Motivated by compassionate, kind and patient people, I am most inspired by those who lead and live with joy and love.

Though I have seemingly unquenchable wanderlust, I'm slowly being called by the stability a home and family offer. Drawn to gorgeous locations, I have called several spectacular spots my home including Lake Tahoe, Costa Rica and Italy. Perhaps Hawaii one day?

I believe that having fun IS a spiritual practice and know that laughter lurks around the corner waiting to be exposed in any situation. My friends call me an adventurer but I don't necessarily seek out ‘extreme thrills,’ I just like to live out my dreams. I thoroughly enjoy exploring nature via traveling, hiking, scuba diving, biking and aimless wandering.

A long-time vegetarian, I was fortunate to spend a good deal of my childhood in nature, which fostered reverence for the earth and animals. It is no surprise that I have an inclination towards indigenous widsom traditions.

I graduated from the UN's University for Peace in Costa Rica last year with an M.A. in Gender and Peace Building.  I will continue with my research starting this fall at the California Inistitute of Integral Studies (CIIS).

My favorite conversations are uplifting and address how
we can learn from each other to better ourselves and
the earth.  I can talk about the multitude of atrocities that plague our world, but I prefer not getting sucked into negative energy; I
would rather dance, be silly and eat ice cream!
